ANDRE Wisdom has confirmed that he is open to the idea of taking a loan move away from Anfield for the upcoming season.
The powerful young defender has stated any such move may be beneficial for his career to develop, in hopes of becoming a Liverpool regular in the long-term.
Making his breakthrough into the first team last season, the 20 year old made 19 appearances, mostly deputising at right-back. However his appearance rate dwindled during the second half of the campaign, and with no European football on offer and the return to fitness of Martin Kelly, Wisdom may find game-time difficult to come by.
With that in mind, speculation of a move away has surfaced – albeit on loan – with Wigan Athletic touted as a possible destination.
“The manager has told me to consider it [a loan move] and keep it in mind,” said Wisdom, speaking to liverpoolfc.com.
“With us not being in the Europa League, the opportunity of playing every week is going to slim down a bit.
“Going on loan is an option. I’m open to any idea that is positive.
“Last year I made my debut in the Europa League and then in the Premier League. Being in the first team means things have changed massively for me,” continued the England Under 21 international.
“The competition is a lot harder, the demands are a lot greater. But it’s good and I’m enjoying it.
“It’s always a challenge but when you’ve got more competition it tends to make you try even harder than before. I’ve got an opportunity to get myself noticed in training.”

Dont sell him loan him
Loan to Wigan, great move. We can monitor him against the big teams.
A loan move away would be great but only so that he can benefit from it and become a solid rock in our defense in the near future
Very talented and steady defender. Loan him out and we can have world class dafender in a couple of season. Good luck Andre!!
