LiverpoolARSENAL are considering one final bid of £49 million for Liverpool FC striker Luis Suarez according to The Telegraph.

Following another day of confusion, Arsenal are planning one final bid as they look to test the Reds resolve further over the future of Luis Suarez.

Prior to Uruguay’s 4-2 win over Japan it appeared that Suarez was ready to stay at Liverpool after quotes appeared in local newspaper El Observador.

The quotes attributed to Suarez were: “For now, owing to the affection shown me by the people, I would be staying.”

However, after the game Suarez denied making any such assurances, he went on to say: “I didn’t say it. Maybe someone else did; the main thing is that I am here now with the national team.”

Liverpool had no contact from Suarez on Wednesday and there has been no official change in their stance that he will not be sold to Arsenal, and until he apologises publicly and privately, then the number 7 will train alone.

A meeting has been held at Arsenal to discuss alternative options but the club are also still considering a final Suarez bid before the transfer window closes that, with add-ons, would amount to just £49 million.

  • Stonroy says:

I understand why you’re *, but wouldn’t it be easier to let go of an unnappy player and take that money and invest rather than hold onto him? I understand as a club you’re trying to make a stand But wouldn’t the best stand be investing that money and finishing in the top 4?

  • James russell says:

All Arsenal will achieve is winding up their own fans, absolutely deluded. Wenger and the management will only start spending when It’s too late. If Fenerbache illiminate Arsenal Wenger and the kronk will have a lot of angry fans to answer too.

It’s a ploy! Take the 49m – no guarantee he’d work at arsenal and to be frank all the media crap in the last 2 years ain’t worth the trouble. Prefer Sturridge up top personally..

I think Willian will be singned and Suarez will stay another season.. And we will be in the top 4 for sure… If not and Suarez goes then get £50m and buy Erriksen(15m)-Lamela(15m)-Munian(15m)-Alonso(10m)…and if we sign Willian now ithink we have a great Squad to go for top4!

  • allaboutanfield says:

The Gunners just don’t understand that Liverpool FC will never sell Suarez to them.

  • Brigadier says:

Can’t see Suarez going after this weekends results, he’ll have a big u-turn. Arsenal were a shambles against the Villa.
