Liverpool trainingSTEVEN Gerrard has helped Brendan Rodgers and Luis Suarez clear the air reports The Mirror.

Liverpool captain Gerrard has sat in on clear the air talks between manager Brendan Rodgers and the wantaway Luis Suarez.

It is believed that after the talks, Suarez has been welcomed back into the first team fold and all talk of a rift has been put to one side.

Suarez was unsure how Rodgers would react to him asking to leave during the summer so the captain took it upon himself to join Suarez, and visit the manager for clear the air talks.

News of Suarez being back with the first team has spread quickly and summer signing Kolo Toure was quoted as saying:

“Luis Suarez was defending what he wanted, the club was defending what they wanted.

“The club know that by keeping him we are going to be really strong because he’s one of the best strikers in the world.

“I believe what the club did is right. We all wanted him to stay. You never want one of your best players leaving to go to another team.

“It’s no problem having Luis back. We love him. We all just wanted him to resolve his problem with the manager, come back and score our goals.”

With everyone at Anfield happy that Suarez is back and committed to Liverpool, the fans will hope that the club can build on the 1-0 home win against Stoke City on the first weekend of the Premier League.
