STEVEN Gerrard has helped Brendan Rodgers and Luis Suarez clear the air reports The Mirror.
Liverpool captain Gerrard has sat in on clear the air talks between manager Brendan Rodgers and the wantaway Luis Suarez.
It is believed that after the talks, Suarez has been welcomed back into the first team fold and all talk of a rift has been put to one side.
Suarez was unsure how Rodgers would react to him asking to leave during the summer so the captain took it upon himself to join Suarez, and visit the manager for clear the air talks.
News of Suarez being back with the first team has spread quickly and summer signing Kolo Toure was quoted as saying:
“Luis Suarez was defending what he wanted, the club was defending what they wanted.
“The club know that by keeping him we are going to be really strong because he’s one of the best strikers in the world.
“I believe what the club did is right. We all wanted him to stay. You never want one of your best players leaving to go to another team.
“It’s no problem having Luis back. We love him. We all just wanted him to resolve his problem with the manager, come back and score our goals.”
With everyone at Anfield happy that Suarez is back and committed to Liverpool, the fans will hope that the club can build on the 1-0 home win against Stoke City on the first weekend of the Premier League.

I sure hope suarez has resovled his issues with the club & manager if he has then he should prove that by scoring even more goals this season as he did the last one after all he has 6 games to catch up on doing that so let’s wait & see. As for the captain Steven gerrard a beta captain lfc will Neva have again captain fanstasic just a pitty there is no one else out there like you to take your place. It will be a sad day for lfc & and the rest of the football world including myself when that day comes.
Gerrard did I belive what was best for the club & his teammate for them all in excile into the champions leauge. So he did the right thing as a captain and as a man of great value.
Gerrad I think felt sorry for suarez cause he himself was once in his shoes and wanted to leave lfc and knew how suarez felt so he did the right thing back then by staying with the club and by talking to suarez about being commited and to apologize to the manger.
