THE Capital One Cup has paired Liverpool FC with rivals Manchester United (see the full draw available on BBC Sport).
The draw for the third round of the Capital One Cup has thrown up another meeting between the north-west rivals.
The tie, to be played at Old Trafford on September 24th or 25th will also be big news due to it being the first time striker Luis Suarez will be available for Reds selection.
In a curious twist of fate, Suarez could yet again make his return for the Reds against the current league champions.
Suarez, whose return from a ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra was also at Old Trafford and he would hope to be involved in some way come match day.
As manager Brendan Rodgers and captain Steven Gerrard have prioritised a trophy this season, Liverpool fans should expect a full strength squad to travel to Old Trafford with the aim to knock out one of their big rivals for the trophy.
Liverpool have won the trophy a record 8 times, the most recent in 2012 when they came from behind to beat Cardiff City on penalties.
The League Cup gives Liverpool another route into European football for next season and a win away at great rivals United would help keep the feel good factor flowing around the corridors of Anfield.
