LIVERPOOL FC boss Brendan Rodgers has today given star striker Luis Suarez permission to keep moaning at his teammates during games, reports The Liverpool Daily Post.
Rodgers has admitted that Suarez’s demand for better play and higher standards from his teammates echoes his feelings from the touchline.
Although the Reds are second on goals scored in the Premier League at the moment, Rodgers has admitted that he is not satisfied with the level of performances from his team, particularly in the second half of games.
During the 3-1 win at Anfield against Crystal Palace, Suarez was visibly unhappy with a pass from Jose Enrique and Rodgers believes Suarez’s quest for perfection from himself and his teammates should act as an inspiration more than anything else.
“With Luis, he demands the best from himself and his team-mates at all times, and we saw that against Crystal Palace, even right at the end when the game was won,” said the Liverpool manager.
“You saw it in the final minute, when he was upset because he was clear in the box and wasn’t picked out.
“You see his work-rate and his demand for a better ball into the box, and that’s what we want.
“There was a moment in the first half where he chased back on the left and won the ball too. There is no doubting his commitment, and there is no doubting he will always have that desire at all times.”
