Rodgers ready to unleash Brazilian star

Philippe-Coutinho-LiverpoolLiverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers is ready to unleash Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho in the game versus Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium next weekend, reports The Liverpool Echo.

23 year old Coutinho was back in training at Melwood last week after his rehabilitation from the shoulder injury that has kept him out for the past six weeks.

Although Coutinho is still restricted and unable to get involved in full contact training, Reds boss Rodgers cannot wait to have the chance to unleash him against The Gunners.

“It’s brilliant to have Philippe back out with the group but he’s still restricted,” Rodgers said.

“He has only joined in with the team on a non-contact basis. This weekend will probably come too soon for him but he’s not far away. He has been doing a lot of physical work and is in decent condition but with the nature of the injury we have to be careful with his shoulder.

“Next week he should be OK. It’s just a case of getting him up to speed in training.

“You always miss someone of his quality and it will be great to have him back. Over the last couple of days he has looked brilliant. It’s like he has never been away with his flow and fluency with the ball.”

Your formation is good except for cissokho who can hardly defend if you watch the wba game andnewcastle game. He does more ball watching and waiting to be told to move by gerrard a couple of times. SAS had to come down to bring the ball up from the wings . Where was cissokho? He is equal of worse off than enrique. See his movement to decide.

      • james says:

I agree wif you. Cissokho tends to be ball watching and lazy. I was unhappy that the 2nd newcastle goal came due to his ball watching and unreactive manner. He will make Sakho position vulnerable when there are faster strikers attackg from the wings. Definitely not a good replacement for enrique. Johnson would have done better.

    • Hugh Yao says:

      why lucas out?
and is cissokho an improvement over enrique?

    • col says:

So ur going to sell lucas….then henderson????? Ur clearly a mad deluded person, glad ur not in charge of our club!!!!

    • stevie says:

Play henderson not moses. Or did you not watch the game against wba? He was excellent

  • Muzamiru says:

We just need countinho back to pass killers.
