The KopFORMER Liverpool FC captain and centre-back Sami Hyypia has admitted he dreams of returning to Anfield and being boss one day, according to Sky Sports.

The current Bayer Leverkusen boss stated that it is his dream to one day return to Anfield as the new boss of Liverpool FC.

Fans favourite Hyypia, who left the Reds in 2009 to join the German club, has moved through the ranks from player to manager and has impressed many with the way he has steered the Germans into the UEFA Champions League.

“I have two special places in my heart,” Hyypia told Bild. “I was born in Finland. And there the national team coach is the biggest job.

“Liverpool has a different place in my heart.

“I will not say that it is a goal, but after the 10 years that I played there, it would be a dream someday to be Liverpool manager.

“But I live in the here and the now. And that is Bayer Leverkusen, and it is great fun.”

With current Reds boss Brendan Rodgers guiding his team to the top of the Premier League this season then perhaps Hyypia will have a long wait until the hot seat becomes available at Anfield.

O.k sami, great dream, keep the hope alive. But we love brendan. He is doing a great job at the moment ( think i read of england trying to take him away). Even if he leaves, i would prefer a top top coach like hiddink or capello or even ancelloti.
