Reports this morning in the Express claim that Liverpool are interested in taking Monaco’s Columbian striker, Radamel Falcao on loan for the season. After Liverpool’s move for QPR’s Loic Remy fell through yesterday, it has been reported that Liverpool apparently made contact with a more attractive option and opted not to follow through with Remy.
Manager Brendan Rodgers’ words today did little to dispel such rumours either, saying “It’s very simple we have made a decision as a club not to go ahead with the deal. It’s unfortunate for the player. We are disappointed for the player but there’s nothing more to be said and we will move on and look at other targets.”
Rumours at the time seemed to be to indicate that Remy had failed his medical but the player’s own camp denied these rumours and Liverpool have yet to give a reason for why the player went from being prime target to being allowed to return to QPR and Falcao’s name has emerged this morning as another possible option.
The striker was believed to have been a target for Real Madrid but the European Champions appear to have turned their attentions elsewhere, with Monaco looking for £9.5 to allow the player to leave on loan for the season.
Any potential move would be with a view to making the transfer permanent in 12 months time, when the remaining value of the player would be paid.
The 28 year old has only been at the French side a season, during which he spent many months injured in 2014 but still managed to score 11 times prior to injury. Ranked by many as being on the same level as the likes of Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez, Falcao would probably admit that his move to Monaco was not the greatest career choice and a loan move would give both the player and club a chance to assess whether this was the right move for all involved.
£9.5 million may seem a lot for a loan move but strikers of Falcao’s ability are rare and the Columbian still has a lot to offer, with the Premier League seeming ideally suited to his talents.

yes indeed falcao is the kind of a player liverpool needs and he can step into suarez’s shoes.
Definitely better than some we’ve been linked with.
Pls make no mistake. Sign Falcao right away.
so good and better.
Impressive,if only lfc can go for falcao.
I have no knowledge to say on Falaco, but the way i understand from the other 5 thoughts which is positive comments, we have to sign after collecting more information.
A part from linking these young players, when are we planning for a good striker at ANFIELD STADIUM?
This is not a deal to be considered, its a deal to run after with all vigor.pls Rodges,I beg u,go for this guy fast.pls.
I think Radamel falcao is the only player that can replace suarez @ liverpool, pls LFC should sign him on a permanent deal.good in the Air & strong with both feet and an eye for goal, perfect replacement for Suarez
Pls i ned facao dan suarez pls he wl be d legend 4 liverpool i lov facao
Falcao is way better than most of the targets so far. Has the ability to make instant impact to any team. Just wondering, why can’t LFC take a look at South American leagues for strikers? Most of the European Leagues always manage to find players with massive talents over there and English League ending up paying astronomical sum getting them from other leagues. LFC should get few youngsters from Brazilian and Argentine League and polish them into world class stars. Can save us tons of £$. Just a suggestion.
