Origi has had a great season for his club and country so far
Divock Origi (Mario Balotelli) – Early days, but the Mario Balotelli experiment looks like the right club for the wrong time. Perhaps in the early days of Rafael Benitez’s reign Balotelli would have found some joy but the Italian is completely ill-suited to Rodgers’ style of play.
Fast paced, quick, relentless movement do not suit Balotelli and despite his obvious ability, he may only last a season at Anfield unless there is a dramatic improvement. With Marco Reus and Daniel Sturridge already on board, a young back up striker is needed along with an experienced version.
Ironically, Divock Origi would fit the bill perfectly. Despite technically being one of Rodgers’ summer signings, Origi is currently on loan for a season at Lille due to the transfer agreement with the French club.
A greater transfer fee would have been required to bring the exciting young Belgian to Anfield for this season. However, with no Balotelli, the man described by Vincent Kompany as a ‘monster’ would have been a perfect understudy, even at a higher price.
Howedes maybe, but the defence is struggling at a unit. Origi you dont have the details of the deal so more money doesnt mean he would have been playing now. An offer of more money and insisting he comes right away may have lost us the player to another team. Lambert has been awful but Samuel Eto has lost his pace too and has only shined in a handful of moments in an all star chelsea team, so a bad choice. Valdes has undergone a major knee operation which im sure you havent seen the results of , also although he is a keeper with a great reputation , his last season at barca wasnt very solid with mistakes being made , a bit like pepe reina. Moreno is not an alternative as he is already a liverpool player so there wasnt much point of bringing him into the equasion. So looks to me like you would be THE WORST MANAGER !! no offence mate !
