The Reds will need more of the same solidity we’ve seen emerging from the defence in recent games tonight

Simon Mignolet – He may find himself under threat come January but for better or worse, Mignolet remains Liverpool’s first choice for the big games.
Javier Manquillo – It seems strange that Brendan has alternated between Moreno and Manquillo, with Johnson a guaranteed starter recently but expect to see Manquillo start for defensive solidity down the right.
Martin Skrtel – Despite calls for Mamadou Sakho to be recalled he, along with Lovren, has done little to prove himself so far at Anfield, so Rodgers will stick with the pairing that has let in 1 goal in the last 3 games.
Kolo Toure – Nobody thought we’d be seeing Toure start the club’s biggest European night in 5 Yeats but he’s earned his place in recent displays.
Glen Johnson – Brendan appears to either still believe in Glen, or is giving him as much game time as possible in order to put him on display. Either way, he’ll more than likely start tonight.
