Gerrard’s display again left a lot to be desired, though he wasn’t alone
Out of the Champions League and now, more than probably out of the race for next season’s competition – all within the space of 6 days. It has not been the kind of week where Brendan should be talking up positives but that’s what we were handed, post-match.
But whilst Rodgers has to take a huge part of the blame for the run that has seen Liverpool’s season practically over before Xmas, the players themselves look as if they’re a bunch of amateurs that either don’t have a clear idea of what he’s asking of them, or are attempting to play him out of his job. Whatever the case, this won’t be pretty. Again.
