Skrtel will be needed to deal with Diego Costa, hopefully to get the better of him on this occasion

Simon Mignolet – After his most impressive display in a Red shirt to date, Mignolet will have to show more of the same in the face of what will likely be a cynical Chelsea display.
Emre Can – While the midfielder has slipped in at the back seamlessly, Chelsea will present his biggest challenge to date but he should be up to the task this evening.
Martin Skrtel – He had a great scrap with Costa in the league game a few months back so if the Spanish striker starts again Skrtel will be looking to get one up on him.
Mamadou Sakho – Rodgers will be looking for Sakho to build on his display on Saturday and he may well be called upon again to make some superb last minute tackles.
