The midfielder has apparently become a target to bolster Liverpool’s midfield
According from a handful of sources today, including talkSport, Liverpool are supposedly chasing Monaco star, Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The defensive midfielder, with 3 caps for France, has had a good season so far for the French side and has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs after a series of top displays in the Champions League. Namely against Arsenal a few weeks ago.
The 22 year old is currently having a stellar season for Monaco, who are riding high just 7 points off Ligue Un leaders, PSG and could be on his way to one of Europe’s more illustrious clubs in the summer.
Brendan Rodgers is believed to rate the midfielder very highly and would see him either as a direct replacement for the possibly outgoing Lucas or as a back-up/challenger to the Brazilian’s position.
Either way, it’s likely that Kondogbia will be a name that comes up many times between now and the start of next season.
