Can impressed on his return to the side tonight

GK/Defence (4-3-3)

Simon Mignolet – Excellent, once again. Mignolet’s reputation continues to be enhanced by another commanding, dominant display in between the sticks. Rating – 7

Glen Johnson – Had his shaky moments but wasn’t as bad as some made out. His struggles are largely down to his own reputation for looking like he isn’t bothered but he at least put in a shift tonight. Rating – 6.5

Dejan Lovren – Sure, he made some mistakes but he’s at least getting in the right areas now, at both ends. It would be nice to see him approach that pre-season form we saw before it all imploded. That will only come with games, of which he should get a few more before the season ends. Rating – 6.5

Emre Can – Continues to play at centre back, this time in a back four, and continues to look like he’s played there all of his life. A more subdued display but looked calmer than his partner in central defence. Rating – 6.5

Alberto Moreno – A huge improvement on his recent performances, as he defended well and looked to get forward whenever the opportunity arose. In some ways, the recent switch to four at the back seems to have aided him more than most. Rating – 7

I compliment you on noticing the fine performance of Lucas, a player I dont often appreciate.

Allen played quite well but we can do better.Ibe was poor tonight.

Both Brazilians gave quality performances .Perhaps we should sign a couple more.It does not seem to harm Chelsea.
