After Memphis Depay joined bitter rivals Manchester United, talk began to emerge of a deal for Son Heung-min from German side Bayer Leverkusen.
At only 22 years of age, the South Korean international has already been around for a few years, as Liverpool reportedly had an offer of under £15m rejected in the summer of 2012.
Son Heung-min is much taller than Philippe Coutinho and Sterling, but still very skilful and talented on the ball, and can play anywhere across a front three, or as a No.10. With over 20 goals and assists last season, he doesn’t lack creativity and provides an end product.
A fee near £20m would probably be needed to bring the Bundesliga star to Anfield, but he is an exciting and realistic option to consider.
