Midfield

Emre Can – Had one of his best games in midfield against Spurs and, as we said then, should really come into his own under Klopp. Rubin Kazan will be expected to lose at Anfield and Can will be expected to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Joe Allen – Many might question the sense in recalling Joe Allen but he’s played so little this season that a runout will do him good and will allow the new manager to have a good look at him. The away side will provide much less stern opposition that Spurs and besides anything, Milner needs a rest.

Pedro Chirivella – If he hadn’t been injured on England duty, Jordan Rossiter would’ve got the nod but we’ve gone for the impressive Chirivella in his place. The 18 year old was quietly excellent when he played against Bordeaux and should be given the chance to impress again tonight.

With Klopp’s preference a 4-2-3-1 formation I would give Allen and Can the call for midfield with Ibe,Lallana and Firmino in the attacking third, with Origi as the lone striker with Jerome Sinclair as a direct substitute if Origi does not deliver, and thereby resting Coutinho,
I agree with the defence selections.

Why pick a 4-3-3 line up when klopp will play a 4-2-3-1 surely play ojo on the wing instead of allen
