Goalkeeper – Simon Mignolet
A no-brainer at the moment, though that doesn’t mean his long term future is secure at Anfield. Mignolet’s form is too inconsistent and the Belgian doesn’t provide enough reassurance to his back four.
He is a unquestionably a fine shot-stopper, but Liverpool need more from their number one goalkeeper so it is unsurprising to see rumours of Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno and Mainz’s Loris Karius moving to Anfield in January.
