Lucas Leiva – After his revival under Klopp, Lucas came right back down to earth with a bump. Sloppy in possession and caught out too many times. His yellow card summed up his day in general. Rating – 6
Joe Allen – It’s in games like today’s that you see what Joe Allen really gives to the team – very little. He’s a useful utility player and a solid squad option but when so many of his team mates were below par, Allen didn’t step up to fill in the void, he simply continued with another 6/10 performance. May sound harsh but apart from his new shaggy look you’d be forgiven for forgetting he was even there. Rating – 6
