Midfield

Kevin Stewart – When Liverpool signed Kevin Stewart after the midfielder had been released by Spurs, it didn’t seem to make a lot of sense; a 20 year old that another Premier League side didn’t want? After his two quietly impressive displays against Exeter in the previous round, Stewart put in a great shift against West Ham this evening, providing a solid screen in front of the defence and not looking at all out of place in the Reds’ midfield. Whether further appearances in that role beckon for Stewart remains to be seen, but he showed he certainly knows how to mix it with Premier League players. Rating – 8 Man of the Match

Cameron Brannagan – 2015-16 has been a good year for Brannagan, after the youngster made his first team debut and has gone from strength-to-strength since. He was again impressive against West Ham, although his shooting was a little awry. The 19 year old, like Stewart and Smith, showed that he can match Premier League opposition and doesn’t look out of place. Rating – 7

Joe Allen – What a couple of months from Joe Allen. From barely getting near the team after Klopp’s arrival, to captaining the Reds at Anfield in an FA Cup tie. Sure, Allen captained a side that contained 4-5 youngsters but it showed that, under Klopp, good performances are rewarded. Overall, he was solid, if unspectacular but he looks a totally different player since the German arrived. Rating – 6.5

You gave Benteke a far bigger score than he deserved, personally minus 4.5 is all I’d have given.

I think it high time for klopp to allow those young players to play during premier league than the old players since the older ones can’t deliver anymore, the young players should be allowed to play against Leicester.Klopp should think about it

I strongly think its time for those youngstars to start playing in the premiere league since their seniors cannot deliver someone like joao texeira, Brad Smith should start for the reds at least against leicester on tuesday night pls klopp give them more game time and see how they deliver cos there are young and pacy

jurgen klopp should continue sticking with firminho to be the main man upfront because we can no longer rely on the services of benteke for now maybe latter and hope coutinho return fast as his presence again will boolster Liverpool for more fierce premiere league challenges and too with sturridge, divock origi cos we need them.
