The Spaniard has become perhaps the most unpopular figure at Anfield in recent years

Jose Enrique – This one is fairly obvious, no? The Spaniard was quite a popular choice when he first signed. A rampaging full-back, in his prime, signed from a Newcastle side that were clearly sad to see him go.

How times change. Now Enrique is the epitome of everything football fans despise about modern footballers; happy to sit on the bench, even happier to be nowhere near the match-day squad and earning an absolute fortune whilst Tweeting and Instagram-ing every aspect of his lifestyle.

Thankfully, that part of Enrique has taken a backseat since the season began but turning down a move to Newcastle over their proposed wage offer (reportedly) was certainly the final nail in the 29 year old’s coffin at Anfield. His few appearances in the first team this season have not been good and the player looks destined for either a return to Spain or retirement, unless he bucks his ideas up.

Whichever it is, it will be away from Anfield, without a shadow of a doubt.
