Hoffenheim Director of Football Alexander Rosen has confirmed that striker Kevin Volland is the subject of interest from some big clubs.

Talking to Bild, he stated that the 23 year old’s qualities would mean there would inevitably be interest in the young player this summer:

“We are aware that Kevin with his quality attracts the interest of the big clubs. We know the situation.”

Volland has been linked with Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and newly promoted Red Bull Leipzig in recent days. Although not a prolific striker, he is highly rated and has six caps for Germany.

So far this campaign Volland has helped Hoffenheim to steer clear of the relegation zone, and has scored 8 goals and provided 7 assists in 32 league games.

He has been trying to push himself into the reckoning for Germany’s Euro 2016 squad. He was also initially named in Germany’s preliminary list for the 2014 World Cup but missed out on the tournament after being cut from the final 23 man squad, which went on to lift the trophy in Brazil.
