Liverpool and Monaco, could join Shanghai Shenhua in bidding for AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez, according to calciomercato.com.

The Frenchman has struggled with a series of injuries over the last year, and has had a number of back operations to help clean up an issue with a herniated disc which has kept him from playing a full part in the Italian club’s season.

The 29 year old admitted in March that offers from China would interest him but the final decision will be with Milan. He has a contract with the Rossoneri until June 2017 and this summer may be the last chance for the club to get some money for the player.

Menez may have struggled for form and fitness this season with only 3 starts, but last season he was the club’s top goalscorer with 16 goals. Available for a cut price deal this summer, it is questionable whether Jurgen Klopp would take a risk on the player this summer.
