The Liverpool Echo are reporting that Liverpool have yet to receive any official offers from clubs for defender Martin Skrtel. Two Turkish clubs are interested in the player, according to the paper.

Both Besiktas and Galatasaray have been linked with the player in recent weeks with the Daily Mail reporting that Besiktas had even made a £7million offer for the 31 year old but those reports seem to be wide of the mark.

Skrtel has also been connected with a move to newly promoted Premier League side Middlesbrough but as it stands the Slovakian is not close to leaving the Reds.

It will most likely be the case that the defender will focus on the European Championships and weigh up his options after the tournament. Slovakia are in England’s group alongside Russia and Wales, and will face the English on 20th June. If they are knocked out of the group stage, it is likely Skrtel will then take some time out to consider his future.
