Former Polish international Marek Kozminski has added his opinion to the discussion surrounding the future of Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

The 45 year old, who made over 100 appearances for Udinese between 1992 and 1997, believes Jurgen Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund have joined Napoli and Liverpool in chasing the 22 year old. He said to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (quotes via Europacalcio.it)

“Zielinski is a strong player and is at the centre of the interest from many European teams, including Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. It will therefore be difficult to keep him in Italy.”

The player’s agent Bartlomiej Bolek has recently confirmed Zielinki is now focused on the European Championships after being named in Poland’s final 23 man squad for the tournament in France. He did however confirm that Napoli are one of a number of European teams that are tracking the young midfielder. He spent last season on loan at Empoli, with the club finishing 10th in Serie A, seven places above his parent club Udinese.

Zielinski had an impressive breakthrough season with the Azzurri and made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
