Leicester left back Ben Chilwell has told his club that he wants to move to Anfield, according to Goal.com. The Liverpool Echo, a reliable source when it come to Reds transfers, has been consistent in saying the 19 year old is one Jurgen Klopp’s top transfer targets this summer.

One of the main issues currently seems to be that the Reds don’t agree with the Premier League champions regarding the valuation of the player. The Echo have reported a £5million offer could be on the cards but it looks as though Leicester could be holding out for more.

Chilwell spent part of last season playing at Championship side Huddersfield Town under manager David Wagner. Wagner was Klopp’s Under 21 coach at Borussia Dortmund and would no doubt have given the Reds boss his opinion regarding the player’s talents. He made eight appearances for the Terriers last campaign, and was on the bench for Leicester in the last four matches of the Premier League campaign.
