Gazzamercato are reporting that Udinese have upped their asking price for their midfielder Piotr Zielinski. The Serie A side have told potential suitors Liverpool and AC Milan that they must pay €20million or nearly £17million if they want to sign the player.

It was believed earlier in the summer that Napoli had agreed a fee with Udinese in the region of £12.5million but at the time it was suggested that full back Juan Camilo Zuniga was included as part of the deal. Zuniga eventually left for Watford on a season long loan, suggesting the Naples based side had given up on Zielinski.

That leaves Liverpool and Milan left in the running. Whether either is interested in matching Udinese’s demands is uncertain, and with the Reds eyeing up a £25million move for Georginio Wijnaldum of Newcastle, it looks much more likely now that the Merseyside club have moved on to other targets.
