Although this is something we have heard a number of times before, Udinese are now insisting that Piotr Zielinski’s future will be resolved in the next few days.

The 22 year old has been the centre of an ongoing transfer battle between Liverpool, AC Milan and Napoli all summer but Udinese Sporting Director Nero Bonato told tuttomercatoweb.com that the impasse has finally been resolved and that developments on the transfer will now come very soon:

“The player is desired by many teams, in some cases [we have] reached a full agreement, but everything is changing. In the coming days we will understand [more].”

Whether this statement is correct or not, only time will tell. In a follow up question, Bonato was asked whether Zielinski was holding out for a move to Milan over Napoli, but the Sporting Director responded by telling the interviewer to ask the player instead. The Poland international was even seen in a replica Liverpool kit earlier this summer but the Reds’ frustration over Udinese’s rejection of their bid for the player has led them to move on to other targets with Georginio Wijnaldum now expected to join from Newcastle.
