The Portuguese daily newspaper Correiro da Manha believe Benfica forward Anderson Talisca’s agent Jorge Mendes has found a way to get a work permit for his client to play in England.

The 22 year old has been linked in the Portuguese press with a 25 euros (£21million) move to Liverpool this summer but the main stumbling block was that the Brazilian would not qualify for a work permit due to the lack of internationals he has played.

Mendes is believed to have found an exception that allows Talisca to qualify with a young talent working visa, the Correiro da Manha reports, whereby his appearances at youth level for Brazil would allow his work permit application to be approved.

Whether this is true or not is not certain as the English FA have been quite strong in tightening the rules to prevent foreign non EU players from qualifying as they want to encourage more clubs to develop homegrown talent.
