Torino centre back Nikola Maksimovic is a target for Liverpool, Chelsea and Napoli according to calcionews24. Football-Italia.net are reporting that the 24 year old is currently on strike and has flown back to his home country Serbia without permission as he tries to force through a move to Napoli.
Torino seem to be playing hardball with the defender after manager Sinisa Mijailovic stated that Maksimovic would be punished for his transgressions after missing four training sessions and the Coppa Italia match against Pro Vercelli.
Maksimovic is said to be subject to a €25million bid from Napoli but Calcionews24 have reported that his club Torino would like to sell the player abroad and are aware of the interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.
Although the Serbian international can play right across the backline, he is ostensibly a centre back and unless Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen the centre of defence after conceding three goals against Arsenal at the weekend, a move is unlikely. It is possible the Reds have scouted Maksimovic earlier this summer with Reds assistant manager Zeljko Buvac no doubt aware of his talents.
