Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli wants time to make a decision over a move to Chievo, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper is reporting that the Serie A side’s president Luca Campedelli has met with the agent of Balotelli, Mino Raiola and has also talked to the player about moving to the Italian club.

Although not a household name Chievo Verona have established themselves in the top flight and consistently finish mid table in Serie A, achieving a ninth place finish last campaign.

It is believed that Campedelli is convinced by Balotelli’s change of attitude over the last couple of years and is hopeful that the 25 year old could rekindle his career in Italy. Although it would not be playing at a club with the same reputation as Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter or Manchester City, he would get his wish of playing in a top league once again, most likely as a first choice striker. We will have to see whether wages would be a stumbling block though.
