Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has been on his Instagram account reacting to the facial injuries he sustained during the Reds’ 4-1 over Leicester City at the weekend.

Captioning a photo of Ivan Drago from Rocky IV, Mignolet believes the comparisons between the pair are even more apt after suffering damage to his nose and face during the match. He believes his nose may actually be straighter after an encounter with Leicester’s Robert Huth . The Belgian international said:

“They always told me that I look a bit like Ivan Drago (but) I never wanted to believe it “#mynosemightactuallybestraighter!”

The 28 year old will have to be on his best form to keep his place in the side after German goalkeeper Loris Karius returned to full fitness to take a place on the bench against Leicester on Saturday. Karius had been sidelined with a broken hand that he sustained during a pre-season match against Chelsea back in July. Jurgen Klopp has commented that he hopes the pair will strike up a friendly rivalry in the coming weeks and months.
