Liverpool, along with 28 other teams were at the match between Club Brugge and Porto last night to watch as the Portuguese side scored late on to come out 2-1 winners in the Champions League tie, according to Walfoot.be.

As well as the Reds, the Belgian website reports that four other English clubs were in attendance with Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Manchester United all in the crowd at the Jan-Breydel stadium.

Liverpool have been linked with Porto midfielder Ruben Neves over the past few months in the Portuguese and Italian press but the defensive midfielder was not in the squad for the game last night. Other potential targets could be the Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera who was also linked with a move to Anfield in the summer transfer window.

Herrera captained Porto last night but was substituted for Yacine Brahimi on the hour mark. The Algerian international has also had rumours connecting him with a move to the Reds in the summer with the player seemingly surplus to requirements with the Portuguese side.
