Bayern Munich have entered the running to sign Hoffenheim centre back Niklas Sule, according to Bild. The German newspaper believe the Bundesliga champions have begun scouting the Germany international in recent games as they look for alternatives to backup German stars Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng.

Sule would have impressed Bayern’s scouts even more on Saturday as his Hoffenheim side held Carlo Ancelotti’s team to a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena. Julian Nagelsmann’s outfit currently sit in third place in the Bundesliga table, unbeaten after ten games with five wins and five draws.

During that time, Sule’s team have conceded 11 times and are just four points behind league leaders Bayern and surprise package RB Leipzig. The 21 year old has been linked with Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Inter Milan in recent months, and with his reputation rising, more possible suitors could emerge in the coming weeks and months if Hoffenheim continue their unbeaten run.
