Borussia Dortmund could attempt to steal Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud from under the noses of Liverpool if BILD are to be believed.

The German tabloid are reporting that Thomas Tuchel’s side are lining up a €15million bid for the 20 year old and will included former Liverpool player Nuri Sahin as part of the deal.

Sahin also worked with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp during his time at Dortmund between his time at Real Madrid and his 6 months spell at Anfield. The Turkish international is not a first team regular at the Bundesliga club and has suffered a number of injuries this season which has also meant he has been limited to being named on the subs bench just four times this campaign.

His only game time came in the second round of the German Cup which Dortmund only scraped through after winning on penalties against Union Berlin.

Dahoud meanwhile is a key transfer target for Klopp and it is believed that Gladbach would be keen to sell the midfielder in January, rather than allowing him to reach the last year of his contract in the summer when he has a release clause of just €10m.
