Juventus are leading the race to sign Atalanta starlet Franck Kessie, according to calciomercato.com.

Liverpool have already scouted the 19 year old twice this season according to reports but the Italian website say Juve are at the head of the queue.

Kessie has had a significant impact since breaking into the Atalanta side this season. After spending last season on loan at Serie B side Cesena, he was given the chance to start by Gino Gasperini this season in the top division.

The teenager hasn’t disappointed, and although he plays a holding midfielder, he scored 5 goals in his first four matches at the start of the campaign, although he has scored just once more since then.

Gasperini’s youthful side sit fifth in Serie A but they will find it hard to keep hold of some of their young stars, especially Kessie, who has also has been scouted by Napoli, Manchester United, Manchester City, Sevilla, Roma, Monaco and Chelsea in recent months.
