Liverpool could potentially make a move for another German goalkeeper in the January transfer window, according to France Football. Highly rated Paris Saint-Germain keeper Kevin Trapp has been sidelined at the French club after being replaced as number one by Alphonse Areola earlier this season.

Trapp started the season as Unai Emery’s first choice keeper but was replaced for the first Champions League match of the campaign against Arsenal in September and has not been seen in the first team since.

France Football say that the Reds could make a move if Simon Mignolet opts to depart in January leaving an option open in the squad for another keeper to compete with the unconvincing Loris Karius.

The French magazine also tips German sides Wolfsburg and RFB Leipzig, as well as Inter Milan and Marseille as potential other destinations for the 26 year old who has still yet to be capped at senior level for Germany,
