Liverpool are weighing up a £2million offer for Ipswich Town youngster Andre Dozzell, according to the Mirror. The Reds have been tracking the 17 year old for a while, along with a number of other Premier League clubs.

The central midfielder stayed with the Tractor Boys in the summer and was hoping for a breakthrough season under Mick McCarthy at Portman Road this campaign. It hasn’t worked out that way so far however for the England Under 18 international.

Despite being on the bench for seven league games this season, he has not had a single minute on the pitch. His only game time came against Stevenage in the first round of the EFL Cup back in August. He started the match but was substituted at half time in the 1-0 defeat to the League Two side.

It is a far cry from last season when Dozzell scored on his debut as a 16 year old against Sheffield Wednesday in April. He started the next match against Fulham but has not played a minute in the league since then.
