Liverpool will send a scout to watch the Serie A match between Atalanta and Roma this weekend according to the local newspaper L’Eco Di Bergamo (via calciomercato.com).

Observers from Juventus, Monaco, Sevilla, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea will also be at the match on Sunday with a number of possible players for the teams to scout.

The one player who has been heavily linked with Liverpool over the last few months though is midfielder Franck Kessie. The Ivory international was being scouted by the Reds back in September, with L’Eco Di Bergamo reporting that Liverpool had a representative at the match between Atalanta and Palermo to see the 19 year old in action.

At the time, Kessie was making his way in Serie A after previously playing on loan at Serie B side Cesena last season. Still he made an instant impact in the Italian top flight at the start of this campaign with five goals in six games from midfield. Since then the goals have dried up but he has still been an impressive performer as Atalanta sit fifth in the league table.
