The agent of Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel, Giampiero Pocetta has told Pagine Romaniste that his client is interesting some major clubs after his good start to the season in front of goal in Serie A.
When asked about the rumours linking the Frenchman with Liverpool and Napoli, Pocetta did not deny the interest but instead acknowledged that big clubs have been scouting the 25 year old:
“He is a player who has attracted much attention. Major clubs are watching him, I know you want to but to talk about the market right now seems out of place.”
Defrel has nine goals in 18 games so far this campaign for Sassuolo and is known for his pace and is capable on the ball. His ability to play in any position in the front three, as well as having an eye for goal, could be interesting Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool as they look to strengthen the forward line in anticipation of Sadio Mane’s departure for the African Cup of Nations in January.
