Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour took to the table to challenge The Only Way is Essex star Amy Childs’ at 888casino‘s Electric Blackjack.

This version of Blackjack sees the casino’s most popular game given a twist as a participant receives a shock for any incorrect decision.

The pair fancied their chances thanks to 888casino‘s Ultimate Blackjack Strategy Guide by their side as well as blackjack Kingpin, John Scanlon, of Aspers Casino.

To ramp up the challenge, filmed before Child’s October announcement that she was expecting her first baby, the duo would receive a shock by the master himself for any incorrect move.

Could the three time Premier League winner shock the TOWIE star, or had his winning luck run out?

It turns out Childs’ is the Queen and ace of the game as she dealt the Arsenal legend shock after shock in a convincing victory.

The pair admitted that this version of the casino’s most attractive game taught them a lot and the shock-factor meant they needed to be more cautious in strategy.

“I know from my playing days that it can be tempting to make quick and rash decisions whilst under pressure,” said the ex-England international.

“But now I have a better understanding of the blackjack plays and know when to go for another hit. That electric shock hurt more than a Martin Keown tackle though.”

There’ll be plenty of pressure and flying tackles tonight, too, as the Reds travel to Everton for the Merseyside Derby.

A game famed for an electric atmosphere wherever it’s being held, whoever keeps their cool most will likely be the victors of the game.
