According to German outlet Bild (via teamtalk) Bayern Munich are now winning the race to sign Niklas Sule from Hoffenheim – ahead of the Reds and Chelsea – and have reportedly agreed a deal.

The young centre half has impressed with his powerful displays at the back for his club in the Bundesliga whilst he also represented Germany at the Olympic games in the summer.

Such performances were always going to attract interest and so that appears with the Munich giants and the two Premier League clubs reportedly linked with him according to teamtalk.

It seems, though, the English pair will have to move on to new targets for their defensive positions with the 6 ft 5 in player set for a move to Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

The Reds have already signed players from the Bundesliga this season in the form of Loris Karius and Joel Matip and so maybe we could see more links with German-based players as we approach the January transfer window.
