According to The Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp is set to stick with Loris Karius in goal for our game against Middlesbrough tonight at the Riverside Stadium.
Naturally, this has shocked us and no doubt many of you after seeing the German ‘keeper get hammered from all quarters in recent weeks.
Mistakes against Bournemouth and West Ham have not helped his cause in trying to nail down the number 1 spot at the club and we were hoping for Simon Mignolet to come back into the side.
That in itself is something we never thought we’d catch ourselves saying, but as is the state of play at the club goalkeeper-wise that is exactly where we are.
It appears, though, Klopp is not sharing the same kind of thoughts and we can only hope the young former Mainz ‘keeper can repay his faith with a better display tonight.
