According to The Express, West Ham are ready to make the first move in the chase for one of our reported transfer targets – Gregoire Defrel.
The French striker has been in fine form this season for the plucky Sassuolo side in Serie A with ten goals in all competitions so far and the report believes a bid of up to £20 million could be needed for any such deal to take place.
It’s a potential move that, according to the report, the Hammers are looking to get into the driving seat for but with the Reds having scouted the player, too, don’t be surprised to see us go for him as well.
We are in need of attacking reinforcements for sure with the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Philippe Coutinho all suffering varying degrees of injury problems and so if Defrel is deemed good enough, let’s go for him.
