Reds suffer transfer hammer blow as window looms large

The Reds pursuit of Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel looks to be as good as over with the Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri responding to the rumours in pretty bullish fashion.

We’re currently second in the Premier League table, of course, whilst the current champions are fighting off what would be an incredible relegation this season and the pressure appears to be irking the Italian boss.

In our title pursuit many have felt that we need a new ‘keeper to come in and shore up things at the back – leading to the link with the Danish international.

It appears, though, nothing is going to happen down that route with the ex-Chelsea boss quick to quash the discussion when asked about it.

He said (quotes via The Daily Star🙂

“He is under contract and we won’t sell him under any circumstances.

“Not even big money. We don’t need the money. There’s no chance.

“I’m sorry for Liverpool but they can win the title without Kasper.”

Looks like we’ve missed the boat on this one, Reds, so on to the next one.
