There always comes a point in the season where you catch yourself thinking ‘this is going to define our year’ and right now that’s how we’re feeling about how we get out of this blip.
That’s all it is right now, a blip. But if we don’t beat Middlesbrough on Wednesday night we’re risking losing some more ground on a Chelsea side at the top of the league that are looking so much better than the one we outplayed earlier this year.
Indeed, now seems to be the time where we’ll either assert ourselves as definite title challengers or fade away into top four contenders.
Of course, being top four contenders at the start of the season would have been more than welcome but now we’re where we are having seen how we can play on full cylinders it would be a genuine disappointment.
Time, then, for the men in red to stand up and be counted and we think these three players need to go out and prove a point to everyone that they are good enough to play for us…
