As reported by Sky Sports, Mamadou Sakho was left out of our U23’s squad for the game against Manchester United last night in the biggest hint yet he is on his way.
The French defender has been out of the senior squad for the whole of the season and dropped into the U23’s earlier this year in which he played some games.
He’s been in that less and less recently, though, and so it really does seem a matter of when not if as to when he leaves Anfield.
The powerful centre-back was told to leave our pre-season tour of the United States early during the summer after evident disciplinary issues and from thereon he’s been an outcast.
It’s a bit of shame considering the evident love of the club he has but we think it’s probably best for everyone involved that he moves on now and that the club follow suit in our pursuit of the title.
