According to French newspaper L’Equipe (via TalkSport,) Marseille have joined the Reds and Italian side AS Roma in the race for Gregoire Defrel of Sassuolo.
We’ve been linked with Defrel for some time by the likes of Tuttomercatoweb in Italy, and so it appears this rumour could be set to rumble on for the duration of the window at least.
Defrel is currently part of the exciting Sassuolo team that has punched well above it’s weight on the way to a Europa League campaign this season.
There must be a worry for them, though, that their best players are going to attract bigger clubs and that certainly seems to be the case here.
With three of Europe’s biggest names now being linked with the striker it looks like he could have a decision to make whilst if Jurgen Klopp does indeed want him, he too needs to make an offer soon.
