According to The Liverpool Echo, the Reds have decided to let Cian Harries return to Coventry after a trial with the club.
The young defender had impressed the Reds enough to warrant him being offered a trial with the club and he duly featured in a U23 friendly win over Bangor that finished 6-0.
It strikes us, though, that a game like that may not have seen him have much to do at the back and so that could explain why he’s not been signed on just yet.
We say just yet, too, as the Reds are reportedly going to keep tabs on him with him at the League 1 club and so should he catch our eye again, we may still bring him in.
We’re still waiting for any signing of note on the Reds behalf during this window, then, but with three weeks to go there’s still plenty of time for deals.
