According to The Express, Liverpool are ready to offer Adam Lallana a new contract in a bid to ward off interest from Spurs.
A couple of seasons ago we may not have been too bothered by Spurs being interested in the midfielder so it’s testament to how Lallana has come on that now we want to see him stay a great deal.
The former Southampton man has really knuckled down since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival to become the player we thought we’d signed those few seasons ago.
His quick feet have been joined by the ability to score goals this season whilst his willingness to work and harass out on the pitch have also been crucial to our title surge.
We’re hoping a new deal gets sorted out soon, then, so we can press on with signing players this month and leaving Spurs to find someone else to sign.
